There is a growing population of special needs children in our community. Each developmentally disabled person and their family faces significant challenges as they strive to fully participate in valuable ways within our communities.
The Arc provides services to the special needs community in Butte and Glenn counties; in our service centers, in client’s homes, and throughout the community. We serve over 860 individuals and their families. In the past year we provided over 240,000 hours of services.
For 57 years our customized programs have given parents and caregivers a break from the stresses of raising a special needs child, helping to keep families healthy, cohesive, and united. The ARC bridges the gap between hope and reality for many families.
In the hopes of improving our services we are announcing the “Bridge The Gap” 2010 Annual Campaign.
The goal of the 2010 Bridge The Gap Campaign is to:
- Sustain existing programs
- Improve and expand services
- Broaden support within the community
- Educate the community about the value of the ARC
- Bridge the Gap between hope and reality for our clients
We are looking for community members to help spread the word. Your support as a team member in this campaign will help ensure the Arc of Butte County continues to bring hope and services to these special needs families in our community.
It is our hope that this campaign will develop and expand the base of support within the community, not just for one year, but on a continuing basis.
