Arc Store Clerk/Receiver (Chico)
About The Arc Thrift Store & Donation Center:
The Arc Store is more than just a Thrift Store. It is part of a larger, community-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization, The Arc of Butte County. The Arc provides services and support to adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Some of the diagnoses we work with include autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and more. As an organization, we focus on community culture and do all we can to create a more inclusive world around us.
Proceeds from The Arc Thrift Store & Donation Center go directly to our many programs, as well as providing employment experience for adults with I/DD. Alongside our clerks and management team, adults from our Adult Day Program (ADP) develop necessary job skills by working in the thrift store. The goal for employing our clients is to instill transferable skills that will allow them to seek and acquire employment throughout the community, lessening their need for services and monetary support.
