  • The Disability Action Center (DAC) is a private, non-profit organization that provides support services to help empower people with disabilities.

  • Far Northern Regional Center (FNRC) is a fixed point of referral for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. FNRC also provides services to infants and toddlers who are showing a delay in their development and are substantially high risk for a developmental disability. FNRC coordinates community resources such as education, recreation, health, rehabilitation, and welfare for individuals with developmental disabilities.

  • The Little Red Hen is a non-profit organization with several locations in Chico, serving children and adults with developmental disabilities. They offer our community a nursery, gift shop, and online store. 100% of sales and donations benefit their programs for individuals with developmental disabilities.

  • The Rowell Family Empowerment of Northern California (RFENC) is a parent-founded and operated non-profit organization that provides free services to families of children with special needs. RFENC has been recognized as a California Family Resource Center, serving families of infants and toddlers who have a diagnosed disability or who are at risk of developing a disability due to certain risk factors.

  • The We Care A Lot Foundation believes people with developmental disabilities have important hopes and dreams that deserve to be supported. We Care A Lot creates opportunities for those with developmental disabilities to pursue their dreams and contribute to their communities.


  • The Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD®) is the world’s largest autism treatment provider.

  • The mission of Autism LifeSpan is to promote lifelong access and opportunities for persons within the Autism spectrum and their families, to be fully included participating members of their communities through advocacy, public awareness, education, and research related to Autism.
